LitList is built by one person, mostly from what readers ask for. Post a bug, suggest a feature, or upvote something someone else already said better than you would have.
What happens
to your post
What do the statuses mean?
Open — read, not yet decided on. Planned — it's happening, no date attached. In progress — actively being built right now. Shipped — it's in the app; update if you haven't lately.
Declined means it isn't going to happen, and there'll be a note saying why — usually it conflicts with something else or it's outside what one person can maintain. Duplicate points at the original so the votes end up in one place.
Does upvoting actually change anything?
Yes, though it's not a queue. Votes show what matters to the most readers, which is a big input into what gets built next — but a five-minute fix affecting one person often ships before a popular feature that takes a month. Bugs generally jump the line regardless of votes.
Why do I need an account to post?
Because an open board with anonymous posting becomes a spam board within a week, and one person can't moderate that. Signing in with your existing LitList account keeps it a real conversation between real readers. Reading requires nothing.
Can I delete something I posted?
Yes, any time — your own posts and comments both. Deleting a post removes its comments and votes as well. If you delete your LitList account, everything you posted here goes with it.
What shouldn't go here?
Anything private. This board is public to the whole internet, so no email addresses, no order numbers, no screenshots with personal details. Billing, account access and anything sensitive belongs at support@litlist.ca. Wrong book covers or bad metadata are better reported from inside the app, where they go to the catalogue queue.
