Questions

Things readers
usually ask

Is LitList free?+
LitList is free to use with a generous free tier — unlimited library, reading timer, streaks, spice ratings, trope tagging, friends, buddy reads, 3 journal entries per month, and 3 fully personalised AI recommendation generations to start. LitList Plus unlocks unlimited journal entries, unlimited personalised AI recs, shareable stats cards, series tracker, quotes collection, and advanced stats.
What are spice ratings?+
A 5-pepper scale that lets readers rate how steamy a book is. Think of it like a community-sourced heat level — no spoilers, just a heads-up on what to expect. Ratings get more accurate as more readers contribute.
What are tropes?+
Recurring story patterns that readers love — like enemies to lovers, found family, or fake dating. LitList lets you tag tropes on any book so you can search your library by the patterns you love most. There are 46 tropes to start, with more being added based on community feedback.
Can I import my Goodreads library?+
Yes. Export your Goodreads library as a CSV and import it directly into LitList. Your reading history, shelves, and ratings all come across automatically. The whole process takes about two minutes.
Does it work for audiobooks and ebooks too?+
Absolutely. LitList tracks all three formats — physical books by page, ebooks by page or percentage, and audiobooks by hours listened. Everything lives in one library together.
Are my journal entries private?+
Completely. Your journal entries are private by default — never visible to other users, never sold, and never used to train AI models. Your reading thoughts are yours alone.
Can kids use LitList?+
Yes, with a parent or guardian's account. The Family Shelf feature lets you create reading profiles for your children under your account — tracking their books, progress, and reading milestones together. No advertising is shown to child profiles.
The maker

Made by a reader,
